Meze Anytime was born from a love of Mediterranean cuisine and a deep family heritage in food. Inspired by our upbringing, culture, and the joy of sharing meals, we set out to bring the authentic flavors of the Mediterranean to Adelaide and beyond.
“Meze” (or “mezze”) refers to a collection of small, flavorful dishes shared among friends and family — much like tapas or antipasto. At the heart of Mediterranean dining, meze celebrates togetherness: warm bread, dips, salads, grilled meats, and seasonal vegetables enjoyed side by side.
Whether served as an appetizer or a feast, meze is more than food — it’s a way of connecting, celebrating, and creating memories.
Our story begins long before Meze Anytime was officially launched. It began on Goodwood Road, with a family butcher shop that has become part of our identity.

The original building stood proudly on Goodwood Road, right where the tram runs today. It was a community butcher shop, serving fresh meats with horse drawn carts outside and locals lining up daily.

When my father bought the property in the 1960s, he inherited the butcher shop — and so my journey began. At six years old, I was already learning the craft. This photo shows The Bansimar Family Butchers Oh — the place where it all started.
